Google Inc. held its Google Chrome Event today in San Francisco, California, where the company talked about the progress of the highly-anticipated Google Chrome OS. In addition, the company finally unveiled its Chrome Web Store — which was first announced back in May at the 2010 Google I/O developer conference.
The Google Chrome Web Store is supposed to go live later today. It will support the existing Google Chrome browser and the upcoming Google Chrome OS. The Chrome Web Store can be accessed at chrome.google.com/webstore.
Already, there are several applications and games available, a few of which were demonstrated at the event such as NPR, Sports Illustrated, Amazon, The New York Times, and more.
