Microsoft announced recently on The Windows Blog that the Internet Explorer 9 Beta, which was released last week on September 15, was downloaded over 2 million times by individuals around the world in its first two days of availability. In comparison, the company indicates that Internet Explorer 8 was downloaded only 1.3 million times in its first five days of availability back in August 2008.
Additionally, Microsoft states that its Beauty of the Web site has been visited more than 9 million times since it was formally unveiled last week. The site has also received over 26 million page views. Finally, Microsoft says that its developer-focused IE Test Drive Site has had over 4 million page views since last Wednesday.
Definitely, some incredible figures.
Now, for those of you wondering, the Firefox 4 Beta just managed to accrue 100,000 downloads in its first day of availability.
