LinkedIn has updated its official application for BlackBerry to version 1.2. The update, according to the company, enhances the performance of the application by using less resources. Therefore, lowering its impact on battery life, which is a major concern expressed by many users of previous versions. In addition, the update fixes and improves issues.
The company has released the following comment regarding this update:
“We’ve just released an update focused on performance, battery life and resolving several issues our users were seeing with downloading connections. We made a number of changes to how we handle merging your address book with the BlackBerry Contacts application and other changes that should significantly reduce the battery life issues some users have reported.
We’ve submitted it to App World but it will be a few days before it’s live as it works its way through the approval process.”
The application can be downloaded over the air by visiting m.linkedin.com/blackberry or directly from the BlackBerry App World.
