If you have visited YouTube today, you might have noticed that YouTube logo changes in color and design everytime the a new page loads or the existing page is refreshed. In addition, the word “Play” has been added next to it. We briefly mentioned this change this morning when we wrote about the roll out of a new Feed Bar on YouTube.
Well, turns out that the logo is changing to showcase the “YouTube Play: A Biennial of Creative Video” contest, which is a collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum to find the 20 most artful and creative videos. The contest was launched on June 14 of this year in partnership with HP and Intel. The deadline to submit videos is tomorrow — July 31, 2010.

There will also be simultaneous presentations at the Guggenheim museums in Bilbao, Venice, and Berlin.
The winning videos will also be featured on the official YouTube Play channel on YouTube.
