Update: It would appear as if these rumors are false. According to Apple’s licensing agreement, the next major update for iPad has been outlined as “free”.
A new report published by blog Stuff.tv suggests that California-based Apple Inc. may be planning to charge iPad users for an upgrade to the iOS 4 mobile operating system — months after the debut of iOS 4 for iPhone and iPod Touch.
All of iPad users are awaiting for iOS 4 upgrade which is coming in this fall but they are not aware about Apple’s tactic plans as it is reported by Stuff’s resources that Apple will charge a fee for iPad in the range of £5 to get new OS upgrade.
So, the users who want to get multitasking like features of iOS 4 to their iPad should pony up a little amount of money for Apple for which they will ask for soon.
Anyhow, be ready to pay for iPad upgrade as history evidence tells the Apple’s story of iPod Touch upgrades.
