Mozilla Creative Lead for Firefox Aza Raskin announced on his blog the introduction of Tab Candy, a new way to organize tabs in Firefox. According to Raskin, Tab Candy is still in early development. However, users can already test the feature. Bear in mind that Tab Candy is not an extension, but rather an integrated feature.
Raskin explains:
“With one keystroke Tab Candy shows an overview of all tabs to allow you to quickly locate and switch between them. Tab Candy also lets you group tabs to organize your work flow. You can create a group for your vacation, work, recipes, games and social sites, however it makes sense to you to group tabs. When you switch to a grouped tab only the relevant tabs are shown in the tab bar, which helps you focus on what you want.”
Users can test Tab Candy in its alpha phase by downloading a super early version of Firefox 4 Beta here. Do take into account that you might encounter several bugs and performance issues.
