Microsoft Multiple Windows 7 slates will reach to the market by the end of this year as it is announced by Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer at the Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) 2010.
Ballmer also said that Microsoft and its partners including Asus, Dell, Samsung, Toshiba and Sony all will come up with a variety of Windows 7 slates which will be available at different prices with different specifications as with keyboards, touch only, dock-able, able to handle digital ink, etc.
Ballmer did not mention HP Windows 7 Slate at WPC which was revealed at Consumer Electronics Show in January, 2010 when he spoke about coming Windows 7 slates by different manufacturers.
Although a lot of rumors are there that HP has cancelled Windows 7 slate and probably these rumors are true because HP Palm acquisition completion may result HP webOS Slate.
Obviously HP will prefer to give a boost to webOS instead of other platforms but still HP did not have officially announced to cancel Windows 7 Slate, so right now no predictions could work for HP Windows 7 slate.
In following you may watch a short video of Hanvon Slate which was presented at WPC keynote.
