Twitter Introducing Location based services are becoming very popular these days and the famous micro blogging site “Twitter” is also adding places to its site. Twitter has officially announced that it is going to add places to Twitter updates which is called “Twitter Places“. Twitter Places allows users to add a place to a tweet. This will help the Twitter users to get the data confined to a region only. Twitter.com desktop and mobile users can now tag their tweets with existing Twitter Places or add new Twitter Places.
The other good thing is that Twitter Places will be integrated with other location based services like Foursquare and Gowalla. Twitter Places would be rolled out in 65 countries next week and users will be able to add locations to their tweets from popular browsers like Fireox, Chrome, IE and Safari. Twitter users can click on “Add Your Location” link present near the Twitter update box to share the location. Twitter is also releasing an API that will allow the developers to integrate “Twitter Places” in their Apps.
