Microsoft is making their mark on iPhone. The Washington-based company today had their Windows Live Messenger application for the popular smartphone approved and releasing into the iTunes App Store, available free of charge to all users of the service. The application is also available — as you would come to expect — on the iPod Touch.
Like the desktop version of the messenger, the application will allow end users to chat with Windows Live and Y! Messenger users, along with social network integration — allowing friends to keep up with other friends on social networks.
Users are able to upload images, create image albums, and access their personal Hotmail accounts from the application.
Windows Live Messenger app Features are:
- Chat: Allows users to connect with friends by sending instant messages through chat
- Social: View and comment friend’s photos, see what your friend’s are sharing from different social media sites including YouTube, Flickr, MySpace etc
- Photos: User can create and upload photo albums to share with other people
- Hotmail: Gives access to Hotmail account where you can read and compose email messages easily and also notifies about newly received Hotmail messages
