Beginning in May of this year, new Samsung devices will be getting a whole lots of lovin’ from Yahoo. That’s because the electronics giant will be pre-loading tons of Yahoo services (including mail, messenger, finance, calendar, contacts, weather, news, Flickr, and of course search) on Samsung devices.
Samsung manufacturers a variety of Android-based devices (and keep in mind here, Google makes Android), and is essentially removing Google from the equation — surely an insult (hey, it’s business).
The process is nothing new, however. Just recently, Verizon Wireless pushed Google out from BlackBerry devices, replacing it with Microsoft Bing services. AT&T has also replaced Google with Yahoo on their own Motorola Backflip.
