Google’s Nexus One is in somewhat high demand across the pond in the United Kingdom. That’s because we’re learning that just days before the device is expected to splash in the country on the 30th of April [Friday], Vodafone (the primary carrier for the device) has noted that they are high-and-dry; with Nexus One units quite simply out of stock.
We cannot say with certainty as to whether or not the Vodafone Nexus One will readily be available at retail locations, but for the time being, online orders will simply have to wait. According to a support inquiry correspondence note from Vodafone to a customer, the supply is expected to be replenished in 7-10 business days:
Thank you for placing your order, reference number [redacted]. Unfortunately we have suffered a surprisingly high demand for the Nexus One From Google, which means that it is unexpectedly out of stock. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. We hope to have further stock available within 7-10 working days and will contact you again once your order has been dispatched.
Certainly, it’s quite a surprise, and one Google is most definitely enjoying.
