motorola motoroi

In December we had some pictures of the Motorola Sholes (XT701) running on the newest version of Android (2.1) heading for China Unicom. This time Motorola have confirmed the arrival to the Korean market of what appears to be the same handset but using Android 2.0 instead.

This Motorola handset is called the “MOTOROI” (yea, it sounds a little funny), and will be the first smartphone for the Korean market to run on Google’s Android 2.0. The MOTOROI will arrive to Korea sporting an 8 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and a 720p HD camcorder.

The Android-powered handset has a 3.7-inch (480X854) WVGA capacitive touchscreen, multitouch gesture support, and up to 32GB of storage with a MicroSD. MOTOROI owners will be able to enjoy Terrestrial DMB1 with up to 24 TV and audio channels for free.
