LG has announced its newest mobile device, the Pop (GD510), which was designed to provide a simplified, touch gesture-based experience for the rest of us.
The new Pop, “the most compact 3-inch full touchscreen phone ever made,” features a “spacious” 3-inch WQVGA touch screen display, a single button interface “that functions as the menu, end and cancel keys, depending on the phone’s mode,” a brushed aluminum chassis, the ability to play music and movies “in several popular file formats,” 8GB of internal memory, an “easy-to-use” Web browser, and a 3MP still/video camera. Also, to keep all the greensters out there content, the Pop has an optional solar battery cover that snaps onto the back of the device to provide sun-based charging, you know, if you’re into that sort of thing.
